Description
ASTM A-325 Cap Screw (Black Iron) — ASTM A325 hex socket (allen) for machinery, tooling, dies and high-strength assembly. Stocked across common sizes and lengths.
The ASTM A-325 cap screw in black iron (plain) finish is a high-strength structural fastener for steel connections used in dry or interior conditions, or where the assembly will be painted. It delivers the full A325 structural strength for beam, column and bracing connections, with the plain black finish keeping cost down where corrosion protection is not required. It is the standard choice for indoor structural steel and shop-fabricated assemblies.
Black iron A325 cap screws are supplied in structural diameters and lengths with matching heavy hex nuts and washers. The plain finish means they should be protected from prolonged moisture — for exposed outdoor work, the hot-dipped galvanized version is specified instead. See the specifications below for available sizes.
