Description
Seamless BI (black iron) pipe is mild-steel pipe made without a welded seam, giving uniform wall strength for higher-pressure and more demanding service — steam, hydraulic lines, high-pressure fluid conveyance and critical structural duty. With no seam to consider, it is the specified choice where the application pressure or safety margin rules out welded pipe. It commands a premium over welded pipe for that reliability.
Seamless BI pipe is supplied by nominal diameter and schedule (wall thickness) in standard lengths, with schedule chosen for the working pressure. This is a specification-driven product — the schedule matters as much as the diameter. See the specifications below for available sizes.
