Description
Grade 60 deformed bar is high-strength reinforcing steel with a minimum yield strength of 60,000 psi (415 MPa), used where structural drawings call for the strongest common rebar grade. The raised deformations (ribs) along the bar lock it into concrete so the two act together, and Grade 60's higher yield lets engineers use less or thinner steel for the same load. It is the specified reinforcement for columns, beams, foundations and high-rise work across the Philippines.
Deformed bars are produced to PNS (Philippine National Standard) requirements and typically stocked from 10mm up to 32mm and larger diameters, in standard lengths. Using the correct grade is a code and safety matter — substituting a lower grade where Grade 60 is specified compromises the structure.
