Description
Black iron sheet is thin, low-carbon steel sheet with a black mill finish, used for ductwork, enclosures, panels, roofing accessories, general metalwork and fabrication where full plate thickness is not needed. It cuts, folds, rolls and welds easily, making it the everyday sheet material for fabricators and sheet-metal workers. Thinner and more workable than plate, it is chosen where formability matters more than heavy load capacity.
