Description
Stud Bolt — ASTM A307 bolt for structural, machinery and general fastening. Complete with nut and washer on request. Stocked across common diameters and lengths in plain (black) and other finishes.
The stud bolt is a threaded rod with a thread along its full length (or at both ends), used with two nuts — most commonly to bolt pipe flanges together in piping systems. Stud bolts and heavy hex nuts are the standard fastening for flanged joints in industrial, petrochemical and process piping, where they clamp the flange faces and gasket to make a leak-tight seal. They are specified by diameter, length and grade to match the flange rating and service.
Stud bolts are supplied in a range of diameters and lengths, in grades and coatings to suit the pressure and temperature of the line, with matching heavy hex nuts. Correct grade selection is critical for pressurised and high-temperature service. Confirm the sizes and grade in the specifications below.
