Description

The square head bolt with collar has a square head and an integral collar (a shoulder beneath the head) that seats squarely against the mounting surface, resisting rotation and spreading the clamping load. This design is used on machinery, liner plates and equipment where the bolt must not turn as its nut is tightened, and where the collar provides a clean, load-bearing seat. It is a specialised industrial fastener rather than a general bolt.
