Description
Galvanized Iron Hexagonal Bolt — ASTM A307 bolt for structural, machinery and general fastening. Complete with nut and washer on request. Stocked across common diameters and lengths in electro-galvanized and other finishes.
The galvanized iron (GI) hexagonal bolt is a zinc-coated hex bolt that resists corrosion, suited to outdoor and damp applications where a plain black bolt would rust. The electro-galvanized zinc layer protects the bolt in general exterior use — fencing, railings, outdoor framing and equipment exposed to weather. For the harshest exposure, hot-dipped galvanized or stainless is chosen, but GI covers the broad middle ground economically.
GI hex bolts are supplied across a range of diameters and lengths with matching galvanized nuts and washers. Choosing GI over plain black comes down to whether the fastener will see moisture. See the specifications below for available sizes.
