Description
The eye bolt is a bolt with a looped (eye) head, providing a secure anchor point for attaching ropes, cables, chains, hooks and rigging. Eye bolts are used for lifting, hoisting, tying down and creating attachment points on structures and equipment. For lifting duty in particular, using a properly rated eye bolt and loading it correctly is a serious safety matter — the eye must be sized and rated for the load it will carry.
