Description
Stainless steel expanded metal is stainless sheet that has been slit and stretched into a rigid mesh of diamond-shaped openings, giving a strong, lightweight, see-through material with no waste. It is used for walkways, guards, screens, filters, security grilles and architectural features where strength, ventilation and corrosion resistance are all needed. Being formed from a single sheet, expanded metal will not unravel and stays rigid without welding a frame of wires.
Stainless expanded metal is supplied in various mesh sizes and sheet thicknesses, in grades such as 304 and 316. Mesh size and strand thickness are chosen for the load and the open area required. See the specifications below for available meshes and grades.
