Description
Copper busbar is solid copper bar engineered to carry heavy electrical current in switchgear, distribution boards, panels and power systems. Its exceptional conductivity lets a compact bar handle currents that would require far more cross-section in aluminium or steel, and its low resistance keeps losses and heat down. Busbar is the backbone of electrical distribution, connecting and carrying power between components inside panels and switchboards.
Copper busbar is supplied in standard bar cross-sections (width by thickness) in standard lengths, sized to the current it must carry. Correct sizing is an electrical safety matter — an undersized bar overheats. Confirm the bar sizes and current ratings in the specifications below.
