Description
BI Checkered Angle Bar — equal-leg angle (L-section) for frames, brackets, trusses, supports and general steelwork. Stocked from 25×25 mm to 100×100 mm across common thicknesses in 6-metre lengths, cut-to-length on request.
BI checkered angle bar is black iron angle bar with the raised anti-slip checkered pattern rolled onto its faces, combining the structural strength of L-angle with a non-slip surface. It is used to form slip-resistant edges, stair nosings, platform trims and framing where the angle must also provide grip underfoot. This fabricated combination saves adding separate tread material to an angle-framed edge or step.
BI checkered angle bar is supplied in a range of leg sizes and thicknesses in standard lengths. Size and thickness are chosen for the structural role, with the checkered face providing traction. See the specifications below for available sizes.
