Description
Anchor Bolt — cast-in or expansion anchor for fixing columns, base plates, machines and structures to concrete. Stocked across common diameters and lengths in L, J and wedge types.
The anchor bolt fixes structural elements to concrete — most importantly, it holds steel columns, base plates and equipment down to their foundations. Cast into or set into concrete, the anchor bolt transfers the loads of a structure into the foundation, resisting uplift, shear and overturning. It is one of the most safety-critical fasteners in construction: an under-designed or poorly installed anchor bolt compromises the whole structure it supports.
Anchor bolts are supplied in various diameters, lengths and forms (including L-shaped and headed types), in grades and coatings suited to their structural role. Diameter, embedment depth and grade are all engineered to the load. See the specifications below for available configurations.
